I’d just finished chucking my suitcase into the United bin at the infamous Logan International Airport in Billings (next time you’re there, count the spelling errors in the advertisements in baggage claim) when I glanced over and saw six people bailing out of the back of a pick up. Curiosity got the better of me, and I headed over for a better look.
Here is what I saw:
To be honest, I’m not certain what to say about this picture, although yes, the homemade afghan is a charming, homey touch. I can’t even decide what is my favorite aspect: the cerulean blue of the truck, the aforementioned granny-style afghan, the bolted-down bench seat with the single seat belt, the plethora of rubber mats to keep the truck bed pristine, or that this unknown gent was so proud that he draped himself over the lot of it and posed for me. Perhaps all of the above. Regardless, a belly laugh is always a good way to start a trip.
